Rooting his four hooves to the sand, the middle-aged stallion sets himself firmly to the tasks at hand. Despite this, he permits himself to indulge in the differences of his and Shazaam's heritages. But Adrian saves that point and his planned counterpoint for later.. just in case things fall drastically out of his favour. Patiently, he hears the Light King out, and mentally, he snorts. Adrian distantly admires the other bay's ease with the use of words. The noble featured stallion's clearly stated logic stirs the energetic Evil into a paradoxical frenzy. All mental, of course, but with that comes an answer.

"Both and neither."

The mahogan' bloodhorse lowers his tone slightly, his articulation fading into an almost insidious drawl.

"At the same time."

He then adds hurriedly as a sidenote, immediately losing the enigmatic aura. Soon, Adrian simply slips into a state of nonchalance, and effortlessly he blends together his more complete answer. Dishonest or not, the auburn King spins his web with care, adding sincerity and a fair amount of trust where it is justly due.

"Do not say that I do not care about the welfare of the Evil horses, for I do care. I simply wish to illustrate to them that I am not the all-powerful, untouchable Leader they may think I am. Or they thought Malussinn as. I want to show them that I am willing to fight with them.. to aid their future. This war.. this war most of them wanted. It was not I who suggested the attack on Sunset Peaks. The Evils have been waiting for conflict for years. They are fighting because they want to, not because I'm sitting on my throne ordering them to. They don't want this to be settled. Savvy? It disheartens me to realise your shortsightedness."

His two chocolate brown eyes look at Shazaam, accusing him of some type of crime that is hard to decipher
