Oops, you just fell off the credibility wagon. Up to this point, although it was draining my IQ to do so, I was following the, er, discussion, considering both points-of-view.

I started playing AD&D when the 1st Ed. books first came out, back in 1979. Ever since then, gamers have heard variations of that sort of crap, which seems to have originated in a Jack Chick tract. It's tiresome to see the same ignorant, stupid, close-minded crap repeated year in and year out, like some kind of unholy mantra. To repeat, you just dove out the door of the credibility bus with that statement.
