Subject: Breed vs Greed

I read the boards frequently and have talked to different people and it seems to me that there are several breeders who are more interested in money now than they are their dogs. Why would a breeder let their bitch get bred at 12-15 months of age? Why would a breeder breed a dog knowing she had bad hips, but she looked good? Why would a breeder charge a higher price just because the dog was a brindle? And why wouldn't a breeder refund a deposit if the buyer changes their mind? That puts the buyer in a situation where they either lose their money or they're forced to take a dog they no longer want. With breeders like this, the breed is sure to fail.
