I've written to the Director General on a couple of occasions, and e-mailed the Radio 3 and Reception helpdesks. If many more people do this perhaps there is a chance that through sheer boredom they will reinstate the full range of radio programmes.

What I can't understand is why the BBC is perfectly happy for the whole world to have access to the radio via the internet but doesn't let us have decent digital reception in Europe. There's plenty of spare capacity on the Astra 2B satellite - most of the time there isn't anything coming out on the BBCi transponders at all. I'd happily forgo the delights of BBC Prime for decent radio reception.

Keep badgering the BBC.

Best wishes for 2004
