Subject: There are now 11 shows on the bubble including Body of Proof, CSI-NY, The Gifted Man, Harry's Law, Hawaii 5-0, Pan Am, Prime Suspect and Unforgettable. Hope you haven't settled in on any of them. I get really tied of watching and enjoying only to have the program ripped from the screen.

[> [> [> I wish they'd replace Desparate Housewives with GCB and let me keep Pan Am. The clips I've seen of GCB are really funny, but, I wish they'd let me keep Pan Am. It is a done deal about Pan Am??? Where did you find that? I've been trying to surf around and find something, I saw that it was being considered, but I didnt know it was positive, that Pan Am would be cancelled. -- mkim DH has had a good run, I wish they'd let us see something new, at least a full season 22 episodes), 12:59:42 10/22/11 Sat [1]

[> [> [> [> I haven't found the information yet either and I am hoping it won't come true. Pan Am is a good show, I am really enjoying it and it is nice to have a show that is different from the usual TV fare of either crime or medical dramas! My guess (hope?!) is that it will get at least the whole season to develop, because it is a Thomas Schlamme show. -- Colie, 11:38:16 10/24/11 Mon [1]

[> Yup I'm not surprised a lot of the shows I like are on the list. I hate TV Networks!! I wish they would give a show a chance to get a following before yanking it off the air. -- Cathy F., 12:57:18 10/21/11 Fri [1]

[> You've got to ask yourself "what are they thinking?" I mean, the new ones on this list are barely a month old. With all the choices out there, you've got to give people a chance to *find* you. You know? -- Dancer - Thinking of some of my all-time favorite shows that weren't much good the first season, but turned out to be great. (JAG, excepted, of course. :-), 03:10:45 10/22/11 Sat [1]

[> [> they apparently only care about the faithful tv watchers who don't have lives and sit in front of the boob tube all day long - it clearly has never occured to them if they leave a show long enough for the occasional viewer to find it - the quality of the show would bring NEW viewers to the screen faithfully the way JAG sat all our buts in front of the TV at 8pm come hell or high water!! LOL -- chris k, 11:49:23 10/23/11 Sun [1]

[> Maybe they don't feel the need to be "great" anymore. Even if a show is cancelled before it's barely begun, everyone has already gotten paid, and those actors have nother notch on their resume. They'll pop up in the next "big" thing for the next season or mid-season replacement on one of a zillion networks offering scripted shows. So many opportunities in H'wood to be on tv, but very little incentive to be excellent. When there were only 3 networks, you had to be "the best". -- The Chief, 11:54:50 10/22/11 Sat [1]

[> the problem is the writing, writers need time to let the audience get to know the characters and they just don't have it. -- lurks, 13:53:30 10/22/11 Sat [1]

[> I dont watch network tv since JAG went off, why bother getting into a show when they take it off anyway. They really dont give a show a chance. They yank it after 2 or 3 eps. not even putting it on a different day and/or time. NBC is notorious 4 doing that. Taking it off that is. -- Jagcharmed2, 11:39:28 10/23/11 Sun [1]

[> [> I agree with you. Why not try other nights to see how it goes. Right now, there are ballgames going on and I'm sure they take away from the numbers. -- jenks, 14:40:55 10/23/11 Sun [1]

[> I think shows that the networks think are doing poorly should be tried on Sat and Sun nights when there isn't anything else on. Saturday night is the worst. There is never anything to watch!! -- Cathy F. and I agree the writing needs to get better., 18:22:38 10/23/11 Sun [1]

[> I wonder if they will ever realize that they are creating a self-fulfilling prophecy! The more they cancel new shows without giving them at least one whole season, the less viewers are going to be inclined to even start watching a new show, because they will fear it will get cancelled and not want to get involved! Duh!! -- Colie, 11:35:58 10/24/11 Mon [1]

[> I don't think I have ever watched a show from the very first ep. I have always waited at least a few eps, or maybe even a year or two before I started a show. Then I either got myself caught up one way or another and became a loyal viewer that never missed a single episode and bought all the DVDs when they came out. -- JAG Junkie (Ronda), 20:08:04 10/24/11 Mon [1]
