Subject: Last night's "Castle"!!!!! <3

I so love this show! And last night ('Cops and Robbers') was one of their best episodes yet, in my opinion. It was exciting, a good storyline... and best of all, many sweet shipper moments! Awwww!

I am curious about your opinions though regarding the speed with which the ship currently moves along. I have been reading some spoiler boards and there are quite a few fan voices who say it's going too slow, they are not moving forward, it is getting tedious etc. Personally, I love the current speed; I think the writers and actors are doing a fantastic job! This episode had my heart racing, and not because of the drama! I haven't had this much fun watching a ship since 'Lois & Clark'! (I am not counting JAG here because while it is my favorite ship, it was a drama show with a lot less relationship-focused moments so it is not comparable). I want them to find each other eventually, but there is so much potential to show how they get there. And isn't the way they get there part of the fun?! The challenge lies in not dragging it out too long and have it become unrealistic.

Producer Andrew Marlowe has said in an interview that he already sees them as being in a relationship of sorts (to which I agree), and also that he thinks there is a lot of storytelling left once they are a couple (that gives me hope; he seems to not suscribe to the 'Moonlighting-curse myth'!) (You can read the whole interview here if you are interested, it's a good one: http://castle-fans.org/interviews/the-futon-critics-interview-with-andrew-marlowe/)

What do you think?

[> I'm really very satisfied with the speed they are going at this point. It's pretty obvious that they care for each other and Castle's mom loves Beckett, no doubt a good sign. There are so many innuendos during the episode that give it just enough to hold on to the ship. It will happen. -- jenks, 16:51:21 11/01/11 Tue [1]

[> [> I agree; I especially love that Kate now allows herself to show to Castle how much she cares for him. And I love Castle's mom - I cracked up when she hugged Kate and said "Katie darling, you great beautiful creature, come in!" LOL! -- Colie, 17:14:56 11/01/11 Tue [1]

[> IMO the ship is much richer when you get the back story and the progression. We are allowed to see the processes that Kate has to go through in order to let herself truly love and be loved the right way. Castle has really matured in the lst 2 years and the family dynamic is evolving in a way that seems real and true to good story tellin. -- TF...can you tell this is my favoirte show?, 20:47:48 11/01/11 Tue [1]

[> I'll never let myself invest in another show the way I did w/ JAG but I really like this show. In the linked interview, the producer seems to be all over the place - I can't tell if he's just playing with us shippers. -- Jan, 20:50:08 11/01/11 Tue [1]

[> I loved last night's ep! I was afraid I wouldn't like it because they weren't together in the same place, but it really was an awesome ep! I did NOT see that twist coming either! I don't want to rush the ship either because I'm enjoying the journey so much! -- JAG Junkie (Ronda)--thanks for the link--great interview!, 22:44:06 11/01/11 Tue [1]

[> Loved Cops and Robbers! You just gotta love Martha, goes away from a bank robbery with a potential date, LOL. As for the ship, right now I´m still onboard and quite like the pace it is going with, however I also feel that they are getting to the point where it needs to lead somewhere, they are running out of believable obstacles. -- Jam, 11:46:30 11/02/11 Wed [1]

[> [> Kate and her hang ups are the obstacle. She will also be dealing with her PTSD from the shooting in a future episode. AW doesnt believe in the moonlighting curse. He tweeted than Happy Daus continued for 6 years after jumping the shark then he said, "let the shark jumping begin" LOL Good sign. -- TF, 21:05:02 11/02/11 Wed [1]

[> [> [> I get that. Which is why, for now, everything´s good. However, they are not going to be able to drag this out forever. I hope Mr. Marlowe has enough of an influence that he can continue to tell an interesting, believable story. It would be a shame if the network bosses made him drag out the will they/won´t they much longer. -- Jam (good to know AW ain´t afraid of no curse), 07:05:52 11/03/11 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> The obvious thing now is Kate and her PTSD, but we've yet to see if they are going to exploit / explore the shadow they cast on Rick in opener. The whole "files Montgomery sent to his friend" angle has yet to be touched on again. -- Dancer - who's enjoying the ride now and hopes to same the same after November sweeps as well., 02:19:02 11/06/11 Sun [1]

[> This was a great episode. I am enjoying the ship and love the real affection that they show towards each other. Btw. I was LOL at the two cops doing their little "Help me"! number, and I always love Castle's humour.. -- Cece, 05:42:17 11/03/11 Thu [1]
