[> Ummm, do you want to hear me whine about it? I keep watching for glimpses of the old "Bones" (season 1-3), but they are getting fewer and farther in between. I found this weeks episode fairly disgusting, that competitive eating was just gross. I´m not interested in all the pregnancy and baby stuff. Finn I found intriguing, but I must admit, I have a hard time listening to him. -- Jam, 08:55:46 11/12/11 Sat [1]

[> I hesitated to do that this week, given the general negative feedback I got, last week. I cant say this was a favorite episode....at all. I too liked Finn...however, being of southern descent, I think they need to hire a coach to help this guy actually have a southern accent...instead of someone trying too hard to have a southern accent. The points made my Finn were excellent, about being judged when your accent is heard...he seems to be brilliant. BUT please...work on a more authentic accent, or you'll lose the point IMHO, you were trying to make.......INside -- mkim, 19:13:56 11/12/11 Sat [1]

...That people born south of the Mason-Dixon line arent automatically stupid, violent or hiding a white robe in their closet.

His back story sounds interesting, I hope to see more of him...again,with a more authentic accent. The sound of it reminded me of John Travolta or Olympia Dukakis, murdering a southern accent.ACKKK, my ears were bleeding. LOL!

[> [> LOL, I was just having a hard time understanding him...having never heard a genuine southern accent before, I can´t tell one from the other, but I had to really concentrate just to figure out what he was saying. English is not my mother tongue, though I usually understand it fairly well. I could always tell the difference between trained theater actors and "just movies" actors , the former were usually so much easier to understand! -- Jam, 19:49:45 11/12/11 Sat [1]

[> [> I agree about the accent, although I've heard worse. I really hate to hear bad, fake Southern accents--it's so annoying! But the thing that really made me mad, inside -- JAG Junkie (Ronda), 22:15:36 11/12/11 Sat [1]

Why did they make him use bad grammar? Bad grammar is NOT synonymous with a Southern accent. Someone who is highly intelligent and well educated such as this character would have learned to speak correctly, while keeping the accent intact. I live in the South, and contrary to popular belief, many of us can and do speak correctly! We do not murder the English language down here, we just make it more colorful! LOL He could have kept all his Southern phrases and colloquialisms and still gotten the point across that he spoke differently than the others. Grrr!

[> I don’t care for competitive eating either so that was gross. I miss that we never got the lead up to them moving in together, it still seems we missed something. I liked at the end where Bones was more human. They have to quit with making here so robotic after this many years it just seems so unrealistic. It isn’t as good as the earlier years but better than most of last season. -- Hope, 21:19:31 11/12/11 Sat [1]

[> At this point in her life, I don't think Bones should have been so clueless about sharing the ultrasound with Booth. It's like she has reverted back to season 1. She should have developed better people skills by now, so I found that whole storyline far-fetched. -- JAG Junkie (Ronda), 22:18:54 11/12/11 Sat [1]

[> [> He's a dude. Given her anthropological view on things I'd think that she wouldn't think he'd be that interested in something that seems fairly routine. Todd never cared to go, I had to drag him with me. -- Theresa, 19:11:02 11/13/11 Sun [1]

[> [> [> Yes, but she hadn't even told him the sex of the child. I find it hard to believe that she would think he wasn't interested in the sex of the child. In fact, she seemed like she wasn't interested in the sex of the child either. Weird. -- JJ (Ronda), 20:20:54 11/13/11 Sun [1]

[ Edit | View ]

[> [> [> [> The sex of the child wasn't going to change so it doesn't really make much of a difference. I can see how she would think that. She wouldn't think that he would mind having a girl so she'll tell him whenever it comes up. I was far more interested in knowing the sex of my daughters than Todd was. He didn't care. I can see both sides. -- Theresa, 23:31:35 11/13/11 Sun [1]

[> [> [> [> [> Even though it wouldn't change, most people are anxious to know. I guess unless you know someone who wasn't anxious about that, then you would find it hard to believe. -- JJ (Ronda), 06:36:35 11/14/11 Mon [1]

[> I find I'm losing interest in the show. The whole episode was to gory. Bones has it's gory moments but this seemed particularly gory. Plus I agree by now Bones should not be so clueless with her people skills. I feel like I've missed a whole season of what should have happened but didn't. -- Cathy F., 10:53:12 11/13/11 Sun [1]

[> [> Thanks for posting that, I think the reviewer hit the nail on the head here especially regarding Brennan. For all her faults, she used to be so smart and always caring. Now she´s being portrayed so stupid, I really can´t figure out why. In the early seasons, she used to be very likeable if you took some time to get to know her, now she just seems weird. And not in a good way. -- Jam...can you tell I´m frustrated? Must go back to watching season one...the cases were much smarter then, too, 14:58:31 11/13/11 Sun [1]

[> [> [> You know the episode I fell in love with this show? The one in New Orleans. When She got konked on the head and Booth went down to save her cause they thought she killed the doctor guy. They went into his house and she was calling out "Graham, graham" and Booth says, "cracker". It was so hilarious. That episode first cemented the ship for me. *sigh* I miss the good old days. -- TF didnt watch this week, looks like I didnt miss anything., 18:45:10 11/13/11 Sun [1]

[> I'm loving this season! I laugh at more of the episodes than I ever did before. When the victim's husband was talking about her competitive eating and Booth and Sweets thought she was a prostitute I about peed my pants laughing! I had to pause it so Colie could catch her breath! I loved it when she was acting like Booth and turned the car around in the middle of the road and said, "now I'm thinking about intercourse again". LOL!!!! -- Theresa, 18:59:34 11/13/11 Sun [1]

I think that given this situation that she's never been in before and the responsibility of creating a new life that it's realistic for her to be hyper-logical about everything in order for her to not get overwhelmed by the drastic changes. She doesn't know how to have a serious committed relationship and she started this one with a pregnancy on top. That's pretty scary stuff, but she's trying to work it out with Booth and I love that! They're trying to make it work together while dealing with the fact that they put the cart before the horse. I think they're doing very well with the writing. I look forward to the show again!

Finn drove me crazy with his bad grammar. I was thinking "how did this guy get a degree??" though I really like his character.
