Subject: and speaking of imbedded in your memory banks- is there anyone anywhere who hears the words "hour tour" never mind "Three hour tour" and their minds go straight to Gilligan? Just the other day a friend was telling me of her upcoming trip to Alaska - She said we dock here - go there- and then we have a four hour tour to bla bla and I responded - As long as it's not three hours. And she sang the line " a three hour touuuur." and laughed. I never said a word about Gilligan- the context was not tv shows or theme songs - and yet- She got it. !! - how iconic is that?

[> Some of the instrumentals were also radio hits - like "Hill Street Blues" and "Miami Vice". That was great. Loved the Magnum PI theme, and Cheers - who can forget "Where everybody knows your name"? M*A*S*H had a great song, an instrumental version of a song that claimed "suicide is painless". And let's not forget "Welcome Back" from "Welcome Back Kotter" (another radio hit).. -- The Chief (love reminiscing like this!) And YES, "JAG" had one of the BEST theme songs, EVER.., 01:17:23 03/17/14 Mon [1]
