Subject: DJE was perfect as Harm - he gave the character equal measures of swagger and heart. A true hero and a great guy. It was the perfect casting. (More Inside)
In reply to: CeeGee 's message, "I just finished re-watching all ten seasons of JAG, it took a couple of months for me to complete but finished it today. I really do miss that show! One thing I thought of though when it was over is that DJE certainly has not come into any recurring tv series since. I wonder if he regrets ending his role as Harm? CB has certainly done better landing recurring series between Army Wives now filming season 7 and her Good Witch movies. What in the world happened to David?" on 16:16:34 01/02/13 Wed

I watched "Holiday Affair" today (I usually watch during the holidays) and he was really good as Steve Mason - sexy, funny, drop-dead-gorgeous - and if Jodi had been "available", he would have shown much more assertive flirting and "girl-getting", a skill at which DJE excels ;-) He was also excellent in "Degree of Guilt". He does well as confident good guys in some form of military or law enforcement, a leadership role, and as a "lady killer". I think he should have taken more roles like that, even tho he might have been worried about "type-casting". Type casting worked well for many other classic Hollywood actors, and that is more DJE's style (classic movies).

[> [> You're right, Harm was the perfect character for DJE. He plays the hero, good guy well. I would like him in any "well written" series in which he's the "good guy," out to save the "little guy," be it as a lawyer, doctor, military, etc. That's why I think he would be good playing Benton Wesley. He plays the intellectual roles well, especially when he's out to help/save society. He has a good sense of humor, and a little bit of comedy like he did in JAG was perfect, but with all comedy, he comes of as a goofy dork. -- doc, 12:16:31 01/05/13 Sat [1]
