Subject: Many Pittsburghers are saddened by his death. He was the Principal Conductor of the Pittsburgh Pops Orchestra. He will be missed.

He is one of TWO people who have won those four awards PLUS a Pulitzer (the other being Richard Rodgers, as in Rodgers and Hammerstein). He has also won Golden Globes. He was an extremely gifted man worthy of all those awards bestowed upon him.
