Subject: Do "Scoundrels" tweet?

New marching orders!
In this new age of social networking and texting and twittering, we are able to keep up with some of the happenings on the set of DJE's new show through twitter. Sunset has already discovered some fun tweets by DJE's co-star, Virginia Masden. I'm sure she'll be posting more in the future. The younger people on the cast will surely be tweeting, too.

So let's keep our eyes peeled on twitter, following these actors and bringing over any tweets they post about DJE on the show. I have a hunch DJE himself won't be tweeting. He has readily admitted to never being much of a tech-savvy person. But we can keep up with him through the others.

If anyone wants to volunteer to keep up with one particular actor (like Virginia Masden), or to search twitter for any DJE listings, that'd be great.

ALSO, if a "twit-pic" is posted, please copy/paste the link here.

Thanks everyone! And Happy Tweeting!!

[> [> I googled "ABC Scoundrels" this morning (looking for the show's page at the ABC website), and there are tons of articles about this. Many of them are not very respectful to Neal McDonough. It's sad. -- The Chief, 16:09:48 04/01/10 Thu [1]

[> [> [> I think he agreed at first that its a sex scene between a husband and wife but its probably close to HBO style that he felt really uncomfortable taking the role. This makes me respect the man even more. Those in Hollywood, sleazy media calling him all the G word, unmanly and even that sleazy Perez Hilton blasting him names will just eat crow.I know many in Hollywood who are like Neal McDonough but are just silent and not vocal like the loud lame noises from the press and annoying celebs.Funny when Neal seems like a real man to me.That takes guts and class. -- Gretchen, 20:59:41 04/01/10 Thu [1]

[> [> I guess the scenes turned out to be raunchier to deliver than NM thought from his reading of the script. This can happen once shooting starts and you have a director yelling -- 'more grinding, more gyrating, more flesh' -- who knows. What i'm worried about is what all this press will do to our DJE's taking over of the role. inside -- mj, 19:01:23 04/01/10 Thu [1]

I mean, does this imply that HE is some kind of sleaze or loosey-goosey for taking the role against the backdrop of NM 'saintly' pull-out? Does it make DJE look desperate for any role, despite he being a family man? I was originally delighted that he landed the role -- now I'm not so sure.

[> [> [> Sex scenes can be presented tastefully and be memorable. Sex scenes or no sex scenes, I think the bottom line is whether Scoundrels turns out to be good show. There are so many other factors to be considered such as plots, characterizations, writing, dialogues, presentation, pace, believability, acting etc. Even if the sex scenes were not really necessary, I don’t think viewers especially the regular posters on this blue board will complain about seeing DEJ’s bare skins if Scoundrels is overall, a quality show! [> [> [> [> Neal would not even kiss Virginia let alone any sex scenes so it was not to do with how graphic they are. If anyone has seen Desperate Housewives I can't imagine that it will be anymore than that. It isn't going to be anything like True Blood I can't imagine as it is not on a cable network but ABC. -- Samantha, 06:35:06 04/02/10 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> So many did want to see the HMS between Harm and Mac.I want to see it too but I know some fans that were content of what they got because they wanted to leave it in their imaginations. But I know if we did see it I doubt its porn-esque but in good taste.Their kiss alone was intensely it drove fans apedung by memory.Till this day Harm and Mac are special and mystical because they give us hungry eyes, longing hearts and minds. Our Harm asked Mac to marry him before making love to her now that outclasses everyone and everything else.lol. -- Gretchen, 00:36:09 04/03/10 Sat [1]

[> [> [> All good points. And, no, I won't be a smidgen upset to see skin -- LOL! And, DJE, even in Secrets of a Sex Addict, has never done any gratuitous violence or sex. Some actors and their spouses and families can handle the 'steamy' sex or love scenes, for that matter. IMHO, intense LOVE scenes are a far more difficult emotive experience to deliver and not have collateral 'damage' from than sex scenes. Anyhow, as I was saying, some actors can handle it and some can't. If NM can't and pulled out -- great for him, if DJE can handle it and carries the role -- great for him AND us fans!! -- mj, 06:32:33 04/02/10 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> I must correct myself --- perhaps DJE's little stint in "The Shrink Is In' was a bit gratuitious. I never saw the movie - only the clips from these sites, so I can't say, for sure. It smacks of Coutrney Cox just wanting to check him out, though. Am I being unfair? -- mj, 08:51:07 04/02/10 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> [> Well, I haven't seen all of The Shrink is In (mostly just DJE's parts), but I seem to remember from past discussions that the movie was really kind of a farce and not to be taken seriously. So, I'd say that in the context of the movie and its intentions, it was not gratuitous. -- JAG Junkie (Ronda), 00:27:32 04/03/10 Sat [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> The movie is not very well-constructed. It is okay up until the point DJE's character quits going to "the shrink" (Courteney Cox). After that, it's just one embarrassing moment after another. Horrible. The "farce" wasn't really the story line, but that Courteney and David Arquette (just recently married at the time) could make a rom-com with themsleves as the romantic interests. -- The Chief, 12:53:22 04/03/10 Sat [1]
