I think he agreed at first that its a sex scene between a husband and wife but its probably close to HBO style that he felt really uncomfortable taking the role. This makes me respect the man even more. Those in Hollywood,sleazy media calling him all the G word,unmanly and even that sleazy Perez Hilton blasting him names will just eat crow.I know many in Hollywood who are like Neal McDonough but are just silent and not vocal like the loud lame noises from the press and annoying celebs.Funny when Neal seems like a real man to me.That takes guts and class.

There are so many other factors to be considered such as plots, characterizations, writing, dialogues, presentation, pace, believability, acting etc. Even if the sex scenes were not really necessary, I don’t think viewers especially the regular posters on this blue board will complain about seeing DEJ’s bare skins if Scoundrels is overall, a quality show! Some actors and their spouses and families can handle the 'steamy' sex or love scenes, for that matter. IMHO, intense LOVE scenes are a far more difficult emotive experience to deliver and not have collateral 'damage' from than sex scenes. Anyhow, as I was saying, some actors can handle it and some can't.
