Date Posted: 29/02/08 7:20pm We are stuck and ask for all assistance with another enquiry as follows: I am researching my family history and trying to find out information about my grandfather, who died many years before I was born. He was William Evan Cound/t Mably, born 1873 in Canton, Cardiff, who died in 1930 in Cowbridge Road. At the time of his death he was working at Evans Street, Barry Dock. He is remembered vaguely as being in the Merchant Navy. I know of his parents and siblings but nothing of him. My late father rarely mentioned him. My many years of research have proved fruitless. I would be grateful for any information that throws light on his life etc. DR Evans Plympton, Plymouth I would love to assist this gent, but again as an amateur amongst the knowledgable, again request your assistance. Possibly in this event anyone with the know how of the National Archives etc, can point us in the right direction. Until: I WIN THE LOTTERY OR CAN AFFORD TO RETIRE, I cannot see me being able to become a pro at this, but strive to help. Would love all / any input and can only offer respect and thanks in return.
