Date Posted: 08:29:47 02/04/14 Tue the staff is definitely doing work. in addition to christian campbell (see below) they have been offering scholies to dudes all over the country hoping to flip people late. the thing to note about these late offers is that the dudes they're offering are still quality prospects, mostly in the south. take this dude for instance, torrence brown, 6'4", 228, athlete from Tuscaloosa, AL (Tuscaloosa Academy) (32nd best player in alabama). he's a 3* guy who is committed to southern miss but is now back on the fence. again, our staff is out there kicking ass. Christian Campbell: Penn State added a surprise commitment at the final hour of its Class of 2014 on Monday evening, securing a pledge from Phenix City (Ala.) Central defensive back Christian Campbell. The 6-foot, 181-pound safety picked the Nittany Lions over scholarship offers from Boise State, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri and Southern Miss, among others. He was slated to choose between Indiana and Minnesota following official visits to both over the weekend. He was recruited for the Nittany Lions by Brent Pry, who went to Alabama in January to visit with Campbell. James Franklin and his staff recruited Campbell while at Vanderbilt. Rated an 86, three-star prospect by 247Sports, Campbell is ranked the No. 66 safety nationally and the No. 24 player in Alabama. Campbell finished his senior season with 56 tackles, eight pass breakups and an interception. He was an honorable mention Class 5A all-state selection in 2013. As a junior in 2012, Campbell recorded 83 tackles, three interceptions and five pass breakups. Campbell was a member of the Alabama side in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic in December. He was a standout at practice all week and recorded nine tackles in the game. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
