(His eyes were thoughtful as he watched Remy and Shay together, though as soon as she shifted closer to him he responded by looking over at her. He dropped her hand and put his arm around her shoulder with a laugh of understanding.) Alright then.. I will keep it to myself.. (Though she had seen him tortured, and he had a feeling that what he had gone through had been a thousand times worse than what Shay was going to go through.. simply because he hadn't gotten a baby at the end of it. He tipped his head to kiss her forehead affectionately.) I will miss you. (He said softly, just to her, not really caring if REmy and Shay saw how close they were again.) (He sighed softly as she took his hand, it was so annoying to him to have this condition because it only became an issue at times like this, when he needed his wits about him the most.. when it was the most important time of his life. His child was about to be born and yet everyone was worrying about him.. it was making him crabby.) Shay, baby, I will be fine.. if I know Haylie as well as I would like to think, that was a sedative, and a pretty nasty one, I will be right as rain in fifteen minutes or so. (He assured her, looking up at Haylie when he mentioned her. He was already looking a bit more like himself, more attentive and thoughtful. He brought her hand up to press a kiss to her knuckles and then shifted to rest his head against her belly, listening to the active sounds of her stomach as her body prepared to deliver their baby.. it fascinated him, really.. the workings of birthing a child. Haylie might be grossed out, but he was in his element.. if only Shay wasnt in so much pain he would be able to enjoy this.)
