First the Colts beating Whitchurch in the N Mids Cup, then Oak getting 5 points to consolidate their position at the top of their league, and then the big one - beating Bees to send them down to where they belong and securing our own status. For too long have own neighours been disrespectful to us and the way they gloated after beating us a couple of weeks ago was not worthy of respectful opponents. I for one will shed no terms about their current position today.

I spoke on the phone to my daughter last night who is currently on a school trip in Spain. Towards the end of the conversation she asked me to give my feeble attempt at Phil Hall's Moooooooooooooose. However, unbeknown to me at the time I was on the loudspeaker in a classroom somewhere in Malaga. In response I heard a very loud LEY from the mixed Brit/Spaniard gathering at the other end of the line. I think somebody could sell a truck load of t shirts with Moooooooooooooooooose LEY on in southern Spain at the moment.

As we know, a win on Sunday will guarantee a Championship place next season. But if Worcester win promotion and Bees join Cov in Nat 1, there will be no local derby next season and the nearest away game will be Nottingham.

However, if Barking win their game in hand and go on to win Nat 1 in their first season, will they be ready and able to join The Championship ? If not, will the bottom placed club in Pool C retain it's place, thus making the play-offs redundant, or - worse - will there be a long, drawn-out decision process which prevents either club from starting preparations for next season ? Either way, let's hope we seal our fate on Sunday.

Hey guys,

We have 15 seats left on the coach and it would be great if we could fill them. After speaking to Adam Caves on Saturday after the game, he was saying that the players would more than appreciate a full coach travelling. So let's do it for them. The coach will be leaving Billesley Common at 1pm. But don't forget the clubhouse is open from 12, so come along an join us for a pre match drink and chat.

If you are interested then please contact Neil ASAP on 07739039876.

We showed a lot of character today - we dominated the first half, missed out on a couple of tries by inches yet still went in at half time behind. Esher had more of the second half but we defended well and always looked more likely to score when we got in their 22. Everyone played well, a try count of 3 - 1 says a lot really.

The back row were outstanding in a really really fine forward display. We got much the worse of the ref's decisions especially in the second half, I thought he was poor personally. Fortunately the touch judge moved faster than the ref and was on the spot to confirm Pennycook's winning touchdown from the base of a scrum taking 3 defenders with him with 90 seconds left.

This was a great result, only the second win I've seen down there in many many trips - congratulations to the lads, keep it going next week.

Neil and his team have done a great job this season.Heres an idea to the previous post neil to get more fans to travel.Put up the cost of coach travel from the offset so if it is £15 to start for example so be it, and as the coach fills keep updating the new price and spaces left.Potentially there are three of us who will travel to bees on the coach next week but I would need to know the price at the moment to commit to this. Keep up the good work.

I was there yesterday and was as thrilled as everyone but can we just calm down a little please. We dominated most areas of play yesterday but it was not till the last couple of minutes that we took the lead and who can forget the home game against Bees recently. I'm sure we can do it but it will require a committed and professional performance for 80 minutes.
The support yesterday was terrific - let's give the team even more next Sunday.

I guess Esher are clearly the favourites to come storming back at us after last week. I won't be too worried if they do as I'm s ure we can do the same against Plymouth and Bees.

Twould be good if we can find a bit of that old underdog bite to pull off a shock tomorrow, though. Go to it lads!

Sorry for the short notice but..........
TONIGHT
Thursday (31st) March - 7pm kick off in the clubhouse!

Replay of the Moseley v Esher match from last Friday!

Why eat (or drink) at home?!
Everyone welcome to call in to the clubhouse tomorrow night (Thursday) when the entire Moseley v Esher match will be shown on the Big TV. Ideal for those who couldn’t make last Friday or who want to see it all again!

The clubhouse is open from 6pm and has two real ales on - EPA and Double Drop.

Jeff the Chef Special!
Curry & Rice plus a hot drink - just £4!!!!
Also available: Jumbo Cornish Pasties £2.50; 4oz Burger in Bap £2.50; Chips £1.50; Hot drinks 90p; Cans 90p; Bottles £1.20.

Marston’s Double Drop 3.8%
Tasting Notes: Crafted using the almost forgotten "double dropping" fermentation technique to deliver a fresher and brighter beer that brings out the full clean flavour of the malt. A large application of late hops is added to the wort kettle to enhance the aroma and give a sense of the bitter flavour of beers of the past.

Marston’s EPA 3.6%
Brewed to be an easy drinking, but flavoursome beer, EPA uses modern brewing methods and a combination of the modern and classic Cascade and Stryian hops. EPA is a refreshing, lighter blonde ale with subtle citrus flavours and a delicate bitter aftertaste. It will appeal to drinkers both of traditional bitters, ales and even lagers because it delivers refreshment with flavour.

I have an idea - it may be a daft one but I'll put it forward anyway.

I read on the front page of our web site that we field 16 teams of all ages. That adds up to a lot of players - not counting fathers, mothers, wifes, husbands, partners etc.Obviously, judging from attendances, not too many of these make it to matches. I guess many are playing or have other committments.

As a thank you to all those who have turned out for any of the Moseley teams this year how about a special offer for the the last home game of the season, Plymouth on the 16th April, of £1 entry to all players who have represented the club during the year (the logistics of identifying bona-fide players will need to be worked out of course)and £5 entry for one family member/guest.

Obviously the day will hopefully be a 'celebration' of survival for the 1st team but it would also be nice to see a much bigger crowd to cheer the team on.

I've no idea whether any of this is possible or 'legal' but as I said at the beginning it's just a thought.
