 Nashota stopped just outside the edge of Gabriel's camp. Her ears twisted and turned in every which direction. ::Kalea,:: she mindspoke. ::No matter what we find in the camp I want you to know...::

She turned earnest cobalt eyes to her younger sister. ::I believe this is what we are ment to do. For what ever reason you were ment to become friends with the girl you call Angie. And we were ment to the the Cheysuli boy, Jeff.::

Nashota started forward into the camp. Her last mindlink floated back to Kaleadora like a gentle breeze. ::Never forget I love you dear sister.::

Kalea sttod in the safety of the forest a moment longer. A fear of what was within the camp filling her. Who was Angie? And what had she gotten herself into?

Monet shifted his weight in the bed of leaves just to Kalea's right. His great golden eyes shone with knowledge. ::It is not my place to question the will of our creator, but I will tell you this... Perhaps, young Jellicle, it is your fate to teach a human the ways of magic. Without guidance your friend is a danger to us all. Her powers are wild. Think on it young one.::

Gabriel watched as Nashota entered the camp. Something in him had known that the Jellicles would return. A soft smile crossed his Cheysuli features as Rio's gentle tone caressed him.

::Did you ever stop to think that you were hoping for their return?:: Rio laughed lightly. ::I think that, in spite of the fact that they scare you to death, you are beginning to truly like those to strange creatures.::

Gabriel chuckled to himself and shook his head. ::Bite your tongue wolf.:: He removed one of the roasted rabbits from a spit and placed it on a platter. He stood and moved to the tent. Yellow eyes met the icey glare of Alexis and he sighed. "Go to the fire and warm yourself girl. Have some food. Perhaps you can learn something about our new friends. Right now I would talk to the boy alone."

Alexis moved away from the tent flap and sat down heavily on the ground near the fire. She glanced at Nashota and shuttered. Her mother and father both had told her tales about the cat like demons of the forest.

Turning her eyes to Angie she offered a strained smile. The boy within the tent is named Jeff. I am... was protecting him from Gabriel. But not really. You see, Gabriel is trying to teach Jeff to be a Cheysuli warrior. The cat must be his lir, though that makes no sense to me. For lirs are usally predators, and a tiny cat really cannot protect her warrior during battle."

Nashota laughed lightly as she sat near Angie. She flashed a knowing look to her sister as Kalea entered the camp. "Not all things are as they seem, but you know that don't you Alexis?"

Alexis looked at the two Jellicles sharply and then sunk into a sullen silence.

Nashota shrugged and turned cobalt eyes to Angie. "So... Kaleadora tells me that you and she have been mind speaking. Where are you from Angie?"
