Hearing the sharp clash of steel, his eyes were torn from the image of the fighter craft thousands of miles above him. The clashing of solid steel was constant and powerful, indicating skilled professionals.

He grunted, not knowing there was another force of Imperial Soldiers so far out. But, gaving a slight shrug, he decided the blame was once more to the shoulders incompetence of leaders who'd never been in a battle before.

Figuring the fate of the pilot could wait, Marcius did a risky thing. He pushed the Stim Pack through his breastbone and injected the serum straight into his heart. Most people would easily die from this, their heart exploding or any other of the numerous fatalities wrought by Stim use. However, magician and certain special operatives were able to control the serum enough that it would give them a stronger, longer boost...without being fatal. Only draw back, it made magic using harder and much more chaotic.

"Oh well," the warrior-magician thought, "it's not like I've never done this before." He stood up, and the world swayed a little around him, then went still again. Marcius allowed himself a few more seconds, feeling the drug course completely through his veins, then he started off and a sprint. He'd reach the action in no time with the injection feeding his body neutrients and other chemicals. On the way, he dropped the Neelder clip and slapped in a fresh one. With 20 rounds, he figured whatever he was going to encounter, aside from a full battle, was managable. And if his firearm wasn't sufficent, there was always his beam saber. And if worse came to worse, the area would go up in a blaze of his glory.

In almost no time, he arrived. He truly didn't expect what he found.

Several soldiers, their alignment unable to be recognized by dust and lack of ensignia, were laid about, laying dead and still bleeding. A few more were scattered around in a circle, unsure what to do. But what caught him off-guard the most was what he saw the rookies were watching.

Within the scattered circle, two men fought. Just the same, they were nearly impossible to tell apart in terms of alignment, but it was clear they were enemies. Both of them were very good swordsmen, trading blow after blow without either of them scoring a blow nor slowing down.

He watched them a bit, noting their weapons didn't appear anything more than extremely sharp steel, then shook his head. He then waited till the momment was right.

Without a cry, he raised this Needler SMG and fired off 2 rounds. The rounds flew through the air with such speed that they created a small sonic boom. One flew before the man with the bloodied blade's face, while the other round passed straight infront of the face of the man that was probably the rookie's captain.

"Halt, warriors." He called to them, his voice taking on a regal tone. "For whom do you two fight?! The Rebels or the Empires?! What is your alliance?" He kept his firearm raised, hnalfway between the two. However, his other hand rested on the hilt of his beam sword.
