Subject: Turning Points in Brian's Career

There have been countless discussions regarding Brian's various relationships with Mick, Keith, ALO, Allen Klein, Bill and Charlie. Each one had it's up's and down's like a roller coaster. Since I first started reading about Brian I have often wondered which "event or turning point" caused the most harm to Brian in terms of his career with the other Stones.

Could it be the very beginning when Brian first asks Mick and Keith to join "his band"? If Brian never meets Mick and Keith (or asks them to join the band), then who knows, maybe he is still with us today? How about agreeing to sign up with ALO and losing controlling interest of the band's direction? The decision made by ALO to have Mick and Keith write songs (not including Brian)was a big turning point in the band's direction and eventual success. What about ALO deciding to have Mick as the only front man while performing live? Brian had always shared the stage, front and center, with Mick before ALO made that decision. Allan Klein taking over for ALO (you might ask how did this effect Brian)? ABCKO decided Brian was basically not allowed to give any quotes to the press, reporters, magazines etc... that any and all requests to interview the Stones would go through Mick or Keith. Another turning point (or bad one) is Brian never getting any song writing credits... what about the two drug busts? Anita defecting over to Keith breaking up not only their relationship but ending Keith and Brian's as well?

There are so many various turning points in Brian's short (plenty eventful!!)career... so I ask all of you which do you think was the biggest?
