Hi Old Spice:

Thanks for sharing!! Great post too... I guess the question I still have is why Brian did go on the tour after the entire fiasco... if you look back (and what has been written and said by the others) Brian was now completely alone inside the Stones circle (Keith with Anita, Mick with Marianne)not that Brian and Mick were ever great friends etc... and Charlie and Bill were both married. In social circles, Brian would/could not hang out with Mick and Keith (being a fifth wheel). Did Brian not see the "writing on the wall"?

I am curious to know the relationship/friendship between Brian and Keith at that time. Your memory was that it was "strained". I understand that but what do you mean by "it was more Keith than Brian"? Are you referring to Anita? Taking Anita out of the picture (for a second), after Morocco, Brian was still willing to be friends with Keith? Is that right? If so, then Brian WAS MORE FORGIVING than I ever knew!! I would have been long gone from that whole scene... yes the band. One cant play in a band (no matter how famous you are) if you are not having fun and no longer enjoy playing with the group.. at least that's always been the point right? When starting/joining a band you play with people who you get along with etc... It's terrible Brian did not take action at that point in time. God knows he could have played with anyone in the world!! Yes, the drugs etc... must have made things more hazy but sooner or later one wakes up one day or goes to play and says "screw this, it's no longer fun to play with you a..holes, I'm out of here". I suppose that's part of the story that intrigues me so much concerning Brian.

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your next reply!! Any others have any viewpoints on all of this?

George
