My votes go for Hokuto and Keiichi, though Keiichi is probably the highest possibility. From my tarot book and my knowledge of tarot, the Sun represents victory, that joy of being so close to completing something that you just have to celebrate, success, attainment, liberation, happy reunions and some more specific things including material happiness, good marriage and completed studies.

Kind of a wonky card to have right at the dark end of a very dark series.

It doesn't fit Shougo at all. And it had better NOT be Daisuke, that wouldn't be right at all.

I dunno, judging from this, maybe the last two vols. will be a two-faced Fuuma? Like 19 will be normal Fuuma and 20 will be bad-ass "Kamui?" Hmm...

Not all of the cards really fit some of the characters either. Kusanagi as the Star? *shakes head* That doesn't strike me as compatible at all (I'll cite info from the Star if asked). I mean, it IS a very nature-y card, but... bullets on it? And Kusanagi? (in most decks, the Star card has a woman on it) Those are just contradictory symbols. Tarot cards are all about visual interpretation. Such a violent thing (the bullets, not Kusanagi) on the Star card kind of destroys the meaning of the card. I think they kind of just stuck him wherever.

Kotori and Fuuma's mother, Saya, in her mermaid form, also does not fit the Fool card. She would work well if she were still in her human form, but in her mermaid form, the results of her punishment for her naivete, she defeats the symbolism of the Fool card.

I just don't even know WHY Yuuto is the Devil card. Symbolically, I mean. I mean, he might have a devilish personality, but he just doesn't fit the card in its symbolism. Maybe another character that was just stuck somewhere?

I dunno, I'm teetering on Nataku's. It kind of fits and kind of doesn't. Meh.

So we shall see what happens next in the X tarot, I suppose.
