Well Colin, You've had the same response that I got when I posted a simmilar query some tome ago. It seems that Trapper sailors are not keen on the notion of wind vane self steering. The team on the 'Monitor' stand at the boat show seemed to think it would be no problem although they hadn't fitted a Trapper before. They said that they would just extend the support brackets, although I imagine that would look quite ungainly on the transom (The boat would also probably be charged for an extra metre in marinas). I noticed in the Sailing Today artical that Black Prince sported a wind vane. Cheers - Ed Bowness
