Shuffling near, he clasped the shuddering shoulder with a feathersoft touch and simply sat in quiet attendence a moment to let some of the tears pass if they would before settling to lounge along Alex's back, upper arm draped over the male's torso and hand curling up over the other's shoulder, his own chest pressed gentle against Alex's back as he leaned in to touch a forgiving kiss to the blond's ear. "You're safe now, Alex. No one will hurt you again. I promise." Oops, probably not the wisest thing to let slip out as one young vampire in a city of elders wasn't in the best position to ensure anybody's safety, but he had said it and there was no way to cover that slip. Except to attempt to defend his love as best he could, as was his intention anyway. And to spread the blood of Alex's attackers with a vengence to make the Apocalypse pale.
