 In order: the lawyer may be stupid or lazy and he had two appointed by the court. Couldn't enter it into evidence because the judge would not permit it unless he represented himself. The judge cut him off on the evaluation and the expert witnesses were never contacted by his lawyers. The last time he stood up in court, the judge used it to indict him. Why couldn't he speak to the jury-- ask his lawyer who didn't prepare for trial, did not subpoena a witness, or introduce any exhibits. You may be upset with the situation but at least it should be a level playing field. This was an atrocity regardless of how you feel about Dan.
