Of course, I think that with girls it can be a bit different because a lot of times they do babysitting and have more of an instinct to teach and protect children from dangerous influnces. So, there are exceptions, I'm sure. But I wouldn't trust two boys of such different age groups, especially when one is so mischevious. Who knows what sort of trouble they could get into!

I told the kid one day: 'Why is it that you are determined to exhaust our good-will?'

He just laughed and said: 'Exhaust your good-will? Ha! That's a good one!'

That just burns me up!!!

I should love my neighbours, yes . . . But do I have to put up with their childish crap? No. Just like a parent doesn't have to take a child's smart-alec remarks.

Yeah. Tell me about it.

I know! I've got to get out of here!!!! I sleep with scissors under my pillow when my brother's friend comes over because the lock on my door doesn't work and I understand that this kid has no boundries. I'm going crazy!

Thanks for the advice, Rev. Joe. I hope to be off to college soon so that I won't have to put up with this all of the time.

The world can be an ugly place sometimes, but whenever I see a flower or tree or deer or butterfly, I can see that not everything is completely corrupted. There is still some good in this world, however hard it may be to find it. I believe that God is working in the hearts of Believers to restore creation and it takes determined & loving individuals to make this possible. Someday, this world will be made new and all of creation will be restored to its original glory (the way it was before we sinned and the whole world fell into darkness). At least, that's my belief.
