"I don't believe that other teachers who are disciples of Yogananda, teaching Kriya, are in conflict with SRF- except to the extent that SRF chooses to make it a conflict."

Well, I do not wish to generalize or blame. I am concerned about the future of His work.

"In India there are many Lahiri Mahasaya lineages..."

I am not sure I agree with the analogy to Lahiri to justify diverse lineages descending from Yoganandaji. Yoganandaji worked hard to standardize his teaching, the kriya, the meditation methods, the lessons, and to get it all down in writing. He was working for the future, for us. Yoganandaji founded an organization - SRF - as the primary vehicle to perpetuate his teachings and disseminate his writings and lessons; he was also the last Guru in the lineage. By contrast, Lahiri perpetuated his teaching the traditional Indian way resulting in various lineages; spiritual training was/is a personal matter between a living Guru and a student, resulting in some necessary individuation as you alluded to; each teacher in turn becomes the Guru for their students.

"If disciples of only one kriya path had spiritual power, and none else had any power, then that would be proof that the power comes from the one organization."

I believe an organization can be a conduit for spiritual power, but that is not my point here. The authority to teach now - after Yogananandaji's passing - is vested in SRF; that is how Yoganandaji set it up.

To use Kriyananda again as an example, he received authority to initiate while he was a minister. I do not believe that was an absolute authority for all times and places. Others who had been ministers left SRF and they did not have Yoganandaji's support to continue teaching in his name during his lifetime. My test remains - would Yoganandaji have approved of Kriyananda leaving shortly after initiation to found another organization?
