When the courts came down the last time there was no proof that they were the reason all the activity went away. Are you trying to insult our intelligence ? Who's attacking who here ? Here is a fact for you . I was one of those that went from house to house two years ago to gather census and a petition about the courts. And I found out that the majority wanted them down. I ran into a couple of radical nut jobs that went off the deep . Yelling to the high heavens that this is unfair and as they are doing again, threatened people with violence and harm. Those are real sweet hearts. BTW you got to love the guy who came out and threaten to beat the one hired to take down the polls the other day. A real champion to the cause . A bright and shining example of Democracy in action. If those are the ones for the hoops being up then you got to ask yourself (even if they are a handful) what is really being attracted to that amenity ? To set the record straigh many had a good argument and were not overly excited about this. I just want to clarify that so some may not think that I am demonizing all that are for the hoops. Unlike the opposition who has been trashing any one who oppose their opinion I am not sinking to that level. Just lets get the facts straight and think of the the community first not ourselves. Even if once and a blue moon someone on the courts call a women a fat B. Or uses that as place of illegal transactions. As that element feels more secure the more it will happen. BTW that is why you seen it slowly rise again. The more that got away with it the more brazen they got and will get. That is enough to warrant actions. If proper safe guards can not address the issue and for years it has been attempted then take them down. It is sad to say I love a good game of hoops. My youngest will miss out on it but I rather find an alternative then having him be afraid to use the park altogether. Which BTW last year he was because of a couple of loud mouthed and rude punks. Maybe we should put them back up . But when all the activity starts to get worse and worse as it will. We should hold all those that want them back up responsible . Naaaa that is useless . It will be said that it would of happen anyway if they were up or down. Heck the first time some so much as spits when they are down you are going to hear the "See I told you so's.
