I do not "worship" Heywood. He is my friend, and he I feel he has alot to teach. Oh, I'm sorry, am I not allowed to defend my friends? Am I not allowed to be pissed that you implied I was some sort of brownnoser? I don't ask him for favors, because I know damn well he can't give them. I ask him for help on some issues, I have fun and funny convresations with him. The sempai/kohai thing? Is my way of expressing how much I respect him.

He. Is. My. Friend.

And I don't believe any of us ever claim to be from GAFF. People outside the board assume we are GAFF because our messageboard bears the name of GAFF. Speaking as a relativly new member, I can tell you this is true. We - them message board - are considered GAFF, as in the absence of a site badfic is being reported to the board. GAFF evolved. Get over it.

BULLshit. What, he's not allowed to feel warm and fizzy because people like him? He stays away from the more scarily worshipful stuff because it freaks him out and he'd rather it died down on its own. Why would anyone be proud of the "omg I want to marry Heywood!" thread Obssessed Fangirl started? - Yes, I know it was a joke. Just an example.

Newsflash, alleged human being - the Internet is all I have. It's the only place I can feel reasonably safe... online is my world. As it is for many others. I'm fifteen and suck at social cues due to a neurological disorder known as Asperger's. Normal, extended human interaction is for the most part, beyond me. I can have friends and a life and a world here, on the Internet, because it's words and static images, not body language.

And I repeat: these people are my friends. Fucking yes I take it seriously.

Yeah, it was scary. It scared the shit out of me, because I had no way to contact the friends I had here. And I didn't want to lose any of them, you insensitive sack of shit.

Right. Heywood does his best to fit in, to help people, offers to pay for a GAFF server out of his own pocket, and then idiots like you decide to hurl shit at him. He's not allowed to be depressed?

(long and annoying post snipped)

People CAN and DO take it seriously. Not everyone is an emotionless automaton.

Everything the Site Guru said is correct and also happen to support what I say - the messageboard has become the new GAFF in the eyes of most, which is what actually counts. Now, you can keep whining about how it isn;t the same as the good ol' days, or you can do what the Site Guru has, which is quietly go about your buisness, accept that change has happened, and get the hell out of our, in your eyes, polluted sandbox.
