Hey guys. Long time no type.
I have a huge favor. Most of you may not know, my daughter is an actress of the struggling kind. LOL
She has entered a competition called 2 minute monologue.
She has gone from a group of 1500, from all over the world,down to 64, 32, 16 and now the elite 8.
She has worked very hard for this.

Meeting new JAG friends began a long time ago as yesterday proved. Cathy F. and I became friends on the HB 13 years ago, if we figured it right yesterday. We are STILL having lunch, hopefully once a month, unless the weather interferes. She and I hit it off with our love of the Commander in Season 4 andd remain true friends today. My daughter brought home a five week old kitten two months ago - Cleopatra is a cute tabby who looks like a leopard.

for the most part she has a sweet disposition though she has strange kitten spurts where she darts back and forth across the room at the speed of a cheetah on amphetamines.

What baffles me is that every so often - like now. she hops onto the foot of my bed, sits down, looks up to the ceiling, head tilted back a bit and meows.

there are no lights up there. no reflections. no moving parts. There is a ceiling fan but it's never on.

What in heaven's name could she be meowing at?

- apparently you saite onions in butter and add cream. Was looking the shoes in the windows of the only and well known footwear specialist in my town, when suddenly, I saw a pigeon who made his entry in the shop, to do a tour in it. Anybody having seen the pigeon so, I went in the shop to tell to the first salewoman I found, than there was a pigeon in their shop. Even thought than the salewomen know me and my family since years she looked me like I was crazy, but few seconds later, another salewoman, said ' she's right, I also saw him, but I thought I had visions '
So then came the search party, but I only participed to it not even for 2 minutes, because my father, who was with me, doing shopping with me for a special event,wanted me at home, even thought, I'm a big girl. So I don't know how things turned out, but I'm sure they'll tell me as soon as they'll see me. ;)

Am glad to report that a wonderful time was had by all on my recent 12-day motorcoach tour of the New England states and Nova Scotia. Lots of history and beautiful sights. Only down part for me was realizing I left my new camera at home! Now, all I have to do, is figure out how to get the pics from my I-phone to the desktop! Just cannot forgive myself over this one! - Carramor - try a program called "Dropbox". It's free, you sign up on your PC, download the app to your phone (and log in), then set it to sync. Whenever you are within range of your home wifi, it will sync all your pix to the folder. (NT) -- The Chief, 22:04:25 10/17/14 Fri

I need some cheer me ups! My son has transferred to work in Hilton Head, South Carolina. He leaves this Sunday to be there by himself until Thanksgiving when he will be back to get his wife and my only grandchild who is 4 years old, and the love of my life. I live in the Adirondacks of NYS so the trip is very long by car and very expensive by plane, plus renting a hotel to stay there. I have little use for the wife so I wouldn't stay with my son whom I love dearly. My heart is broken and I'm devasted. - oh dear - this is a bit of a predicament - is this the only son and only grandson? If it is - I would say screw the wife- put up with her- ignore her- pretend you like her - whatever it takes to be able to spend time with your grandson - eventually he'll be old enough that he can some visit you instead of you visiting them - and in the meantime modern technology like skype makes keeping in touch and seeing them grow so much easier (NT) -- chris k, 20:53:56 09/16/14 Tue

- my other suggestion is apply for an airline credit card - they always come with enough miles up front for one ticket - then start using that card for all your expenses- everything you normally pay with cash or check - you'll be amazed how many miles you can accumulate to make traveling more affordable. - My only grandson is 3 months old now. He lives in Nashville with my son and daughter in law. We get daily pictures and just had a video of him turning over. Not the same but it helps. - Not looking forward but look back - my sister and I just returned from a 10 day British Isle Cruise. We had a great time, from the moment we touched down in London to the moment we got home we didn't stop. Didn't even have time to give MJ a ring and get together (sorry). I appreciate all the advise I received in Februrary when I asked for it. After being gone from work for 14 days I don't think my boss will let me out of her sight for a while. Of course I play every trivia session imaginable - Love it! - This time RC went out of their way to entertain me - They set the windjammer on fire (okay only one ceiling panel) they did raft rescues in the pool with the nice Aussie personal trainer - they did lifeboat rescues tests and for the first time I watched all the pool activities - from the sexiest man (not) compettiton to the belly flops- All in all I did a great deal of laughing! I don't know if you all remember me but I posted about us moving to AZ back in 2009, well we here in AZ and been living in Winslow for the past 5 years.

It has been very eventful from my 10 year old son getting a hair line fracture of his wrist to him getting on the honor roll for school; My now 13 year old daughter is going to an honor society meeting tomorrow. She was on the honor roll three times this past year. (Makes a good selling point for colleges).

Hubby and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this year.

Life has been good! :)

Who procrastinates like me and who doesn't.

started working on my tax returns Saturday- collection day, Sunday -sort day- Monday input data day. Tuesday mail day.

well - computer froze and crashed after all day of input so I'm back to the beginning of data -

My returns are all self employed income, between hubby and I we do 4 schedule Cs. So I tend to delay getting it done until I have no choice-

who amongst us is an organized soul who filed January 2, LOL and who like me is glad the post office stays open until midnight tonight ?

- Our post office used to stay open late, with an evening party atmosphere - live music, radio remote broadcast & food - but no longer. Post office now closes at its regular time. They don't even add workers at the service windows today. So long lines of grumbling people. Crazy. We file an extension because my husband's employment is complex plus we have additional investments and a home-based graphic design business. Our daughter just received a refund of over $1,200. I would like everyone to just take a minute yo say a prayer for the 22 students and one security guard from Franklin Regional High School. As many have heard on the national news, these students were stabbed by another student two days ago. As of today, one remains on life support and has had surgery again today. Another three students are ICU at another hospital but are in fair condition. Many more have been released from the hospital. Franklin Regional H.S is about 20 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

You never think that something like this can happen near you, but it can. While I am about 40 miles north of this school, our high school plays this school in football and basketball. It can effect you anywhere. Please take a minute to thank God that all of these kids WILL recover.

  - What is sad to me is that whole generations of kids are growing up with a fortress mentality, filled with fear, I know there are many theories, and I'm not challenging any of them. I just look back at the freedom I had even in elementary school, to get on public transportation by myself, free to roam the parks, happy at my schools with no interference from parents. one of my husband's clilent's approached us today with a fundraiser for a young man's funeral expenses. We are not in a position to help much but I thought if enough people know and donate even a dollar or two - that can make tremendous strides so I'm mentioning it here. - I'm like you, I avoided dentists like the plague until last year when my teeth got so bad. I haven't taken the pill, but I highly recommend the nitrous oxide gas. A couple of deep breaths of the nitrous & you won't care what they do. They call it laughing gas and it does relax you & makes you giddy. My dentist says it's one of the few legal ways to get "high". Some dentists also have hot towels & chairs that massage you while they work. And most either have headphones or you can bring your own to listen to music. Good Luck! - I have faithfully gone to the dentist every six months for all my life with a break of 4 yrs when I moved out west. I have all my teeth except the wisdom teeth. I don't like the occasional fillings and crowns etc., but honestl, you can't feel anything. Modern dentists are fabulous, and my teeth arre important to me. I know what one of my friends goes through needing implants etc, so I consider myself lucky. Don't worry Chris. The new dopy stuff will get you through and you won't feel afraid anymore. I will be traveling to England this summer with a two day stay in London (June 11 & 12) and then a 10 day British Isle Cruise on Celebrity Infinity (June 13-23). The cruise includes stops at Le Harve (Paris), St Peter Port, Guernsey; Cork, Ireland; Dunmore East, Ireland; Dublin, Ireland; Liverpool, England; Greenock, Scotland; and Holyhead, Wales.
I am looking for dos and don'ts while in London. Places to go and places to avoid. I am traveling with my sister and will be part of a group (130 people) for the cruise however while in London we are on our own.
This will be my first cruise and my first trip outside the USA, if you don't count Tijuana or Vancouver. I must admit when my sister first suggested a sister vacation I was not all that excited, traveling overseas and going on a cruise were not on my to do list. However the closer the date, the more excited I'm getting. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. I have included my email if your advise is too lengthy for the message board.

Thanks in advance for the travel advise and I'll keep you all posted, or at least ask more questions, I still have 4 more months before I go!
