Subject: Board/Chatroom vs. Site

As mentioned in a different thread (i.e., "Board vs. Chatroom," http://www.voy.com/13774/25897.html), the original GAFF web site was devoted to presenting information, and comments could always be submitted via e-mail and, later, guestbook and web board. With the site's closure, web boards have temporarily replaced the site, providing both information and commentary/discussion. The Site Guru has stated that the GAFF Team are continuing to search for a new web site, but boards will suffice for the moment.

My question here runs parallel to my "Board vs. Chatroom" question:

Do you prefer a site only, a board/chatroom only, or some combination of the two? ("Board/chatroom" means "a board and/or chatroom," details of which to be decided in the "Board vs. Chatroom" thread.)

1. Site only: just like the original GAFF site.

-1a. NO discussion. Comments submitted via e-mail.

2. Site AND board/chatroom

-2a. Discussion via board/chatroom. Comments via board/chatroom (which can, selectively, be posted on the site).
-2b. NO discussion. Comments via board/chatroom (which can, selectively, be posted on the site).

3. Board/chatroom only: like we are now. (Details for this scenario to be decided in the "Board vs. Chatroom" thread.)

Again, when looking for a new home, I think planning ahead is the best course of action. What do you guys think?

--Matt
