Ya know, I just came back from a friend's house, and to keep their six-year-old out of the way while we visited they put on a Pokemon video for him. Within minutes he was karate-chopping everyone in the room (only actually making contact with his two-year-old sister). Tell me these things don't lead to violent behavior!

Granted, the "parents" were allowing the behavior. When I started to question him about why he needed to hurt people, even the fictional "bad guys", he was at a loss to help me create other, less violent means for subduing the enemy. What a great teaching oportunity! Too bad most parents are too tired (or oblivious) at the end of the day to engage their offspring in such lessons.

Well, I learned something anyway, although I still can't name any of the Poke-beings.
