Hi, Rev. Joe -

There is this 14-year-old boy who is currently my 9-year-old brother's best friend. This boy has Bi-polar, and he loves playing violent fantasy/role-playing video games. He makes me nervous because I heard that he can be violent.

One time, he threw a hard snowball and it hit his girlfriend in the head and hurt her pretty badly. Sometimes I get angry with him because he's demanding and whiny. If it's time for him to go home, he'll whine and complain about it and beg to stay for a longer period of time. After a while, I start yelling at him and he grabs a stick like he wants to fight me. This is scary!

Yesterday, he was trying to hide from my brother and came into my room without asking! I said: 'Get out of my room! Who told that you could come in here?' He started laughing, and I opened the door and shoved him out! My door has a lock on it but it doesn't work. I'm really not happy about that.

Anyway, this kid gets away with everything! And his mother always gives in to his demands because his father is more strict with him. I guess she thinks his father is a bit unfair, but I think she's being unfair to us. We tell him to go home and she says that he can stay, and we say 'no', but he just stays in our house; and no amount of telling him to go will get him to go! Something smells about all of this, doesn't it?

This 'friend' of my brother's is indeed, a bad influence. I wonder how my parents can be so dense as not to see it, or why they would allow it, I have no idea! They even let this boy spend the night at our house (something which makes me feel VERY uncomfortable). What is wrong with these people?!?! Is everyone mad?!?!?

This is only one of the many reasons why I call my house, 'The Madhouse'
