It was usually in summer camps of former Soviet Union that older girls (in age 13-14) helped counselors ("vozhatim") to bath younger children during weekly shower, both boys and girls (although, boys and girls were bathed separately) at least until their 10.
Usually, were invited girls who had younger siblings and had experience to care with them. Sometimes, boys were little older than 10 and they were embarrassed when little more older that they girls bathed their bottoms and "fronts", however, 2-3 slaps on wet bottom stopped resisting. I can recall all boys who were bathed (at least, bathed by me) were before their puberty.
