I did not know Brian was going to blow the whole whistle on the music industry's drug dealing... even if it's "speculation". That's another "big fish" in the entire story/legacy. One thing that's ironic is... if this story is true... Brian getting "busted" twice for drugs with the second one being a obvious set up... the reporters were already at the jailhouse waiting for Brian being hauled in!! If that's not ridiculous enough!! Anyway, if Brian was trying to "get back" at the police/secret service... then I agree, he was picking a losing battle.

However, I always thought Brian was fighting ABCKO/Mick?Keith regarding who owned the rights to the name "Rolling Stones". As I have said before Brian's signature is the "only" signature on the original contract (in Keith's book he mentions Mick and Keith were waiting around the corner in a restaurant/pub). Once Brian was out of the band (he owned the rights to the name) then he could sue (perhaps that is why he was in New York in May/June 1969 seeing a attorney...Gerry mentioned this as well.. seeing Brian in New York around that time) the Stones/ABCKO etc... big time and perhaps ultimately destroy the band forever through legal recourse. The Stones were hurting for money (so the story goes) in 1969 and needed to get back on tour to bring in the $$. Without the name (and of course no Brian)then where would they have been? That's where the trail becomes a gigantic mystery I believe.
