BRAVO! Although I don't agree with the outcome, it was excellent. A few nitpicks:

1. the Nebula could have launched shuttles in the nebula (Chain of Command pt. 2).

2. Don't Nebulon B's normally carry TIEs or TIE Interceptors? Because in TIE Fighter (PC game) Admiral (Insert name here) destroyed the research facilities for the TIE Defender and the few that remained were put into storage in a secure area.

3. How can you be sure that the TIE Defenders would be able to navigate in the nebula?

Other than that, It's a good fan fiction.
