Sometimes people take debate topics personally and then resort to the immature tactic of verbally attacking their opponents. Then the board becomes nothing but a medium for hate messages and is best removed altogther. I run a couple message board (for completely unrelated topic) and I DO censor the board to keep it streamlined and family-friendly. My boards rarely stir debates, but when they do, all responses must remain diplomatic and clean. I've only had to delete about five messages in five years.
