Hey, I'm with you all the way on Xander. But I can't honestly say I'd see him in Willow's role in Wrecked. Plus, of course, the scene at Rack's would have played a little differently....

Addiction is just another example of victimhood where the individual is not really responsible for their actions. There is a large and thriving cult of victimhood in this country where even eating too many twinkies can be the basis for justification for heinous acts (in this case, even a legal defense).

I am glad to say that I don't think many people really believe this.

How did I get cast as the defender of the addiction metaphor?

I didn't mean to make you one. I'm just taking the opportunity for my annual complaints about this part of the story arc in S6.

I think the viewers had to somehow overlook Willows transgressions.

Perhaps, but then you'd have to wonder why the cleansing in Chosen. Considering the amount of discussion on the boards during S7, I doubt the writers really believed people were overlooking the issue.
