        • In that case you seem to be in luck. I don't see how the liquidators can lay any claim to any money that might have found its way to the dealer and you ought to be able to proceed with the transaction. • This is a legal point. The liquidators have to follow the law. Their attitude before the creditors meeting seemed to be based entirely on what the directors were telling them (ie not an agency agreement). The reason they let the questions run on so long was, presumably, because they wanted the creditors side of the story. Check your contract and get legal advice to protect your position. He claims he has not been paid but has lost his car...I claim I have not had my car and have lost my money...both in the same boat by the opposite way around...so far I know of one other person in the same situation as me. You may find you have a claim on a car on the continent which, if you are lucky, may be partially paid for, and you may be able to argue against having the money you paid included in the companies assets, this could give you priority in the list of creditors.
